We found Max Napa Tours after booking another “cattle herd” tour-which we promptly cancelled after talking to Max. The difference in cost was well worth the positive difference in our experience! Relying on Evan’s expertise and experience, riding in the SUV, receiving personalized service wherever we went, lunch reservations, sampling grapes from the vines to the finished product, and now enjoying those same wines at home made our trip so much more memorable. The concierge at our hotel even asked if “that was family or friends that picked us up” in the SUV! And that really describes our tour with Evan (who also treated us with a detour via Lombard Street on our way back to the hotel). Evan and Max are the greatest!

Not only did Max show us the most delightful, serious, small wineries. He kept up an interesting dialogue during the commute so the time flew. We did two tours with Max and both were outstanding. I won’t consider doing this by ourselves in the future either, Max adds too much to the mix not to go with him again!
